This page contains brief presentations of our contributors.Due to the generous contributions of a number of passioned nature photographers we can present at the beginning of 2011 more than 1000 taxa which represents about 25% of the species and principal subspecies and varieties of the Flora of Romania. dedicated to our beloved colleague and teacher dr.
Gheorghe Groza who prematurely passed in 2008.
A passioned field botanist and a great spirit, the

dr. Laszlo Rakosy, professor,
Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, Faculty of Biology
and Geology. One of the most merituous lepidopterologists in the
entire Europe and due to the deep connection between butterflies and
flowers also an excellent florist. Along with the famous dr. Elise
Speta he is the author of the superbly illustrated 
dr. Ioan Ghira, lecturer,
Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, Faculty of Biology
and Geology. A very popular teacher and a well-known veteran of
Romanian herpetology. Despite his deep passion for reptiles and
amphibians he is also a good botanist and detains and applies a
tremendous volume of knowledge about the medicinal properties of
various plants.
